4/74 Nursecombe Farm 9/3/60 House

GV II

House. Early C16 with later C16 and C19 extensions. Timber framed with decorative curved braces and framing to rear gables, infilled with colourwashed brick and tilehung on gable ends. Restored plain tiled roof. Two storeys with cellar to left, end stack to right of centre and ridge stack to right of centre. Entrance front:- At right angles to lane. Central double jettied gable with pierced barge- boards, single jetty gable to left, on moulded bressumers. Close studding to ground floor. Diamond pane, leaded attic casement windows to gables. One 3-light diamond pane window to first floor of each gable and one 2-light window between. Fine projecting oriel window, square with diamond pane leaded glazing, to ground floor left. One square pane leaded casement window to ground floor right, small window between. C17 gabled porch to right, jettied on first floor, with 4-centre arch and first floor casement window. Pentice extension to right with further windows.
