House. Mid C18, with substantial mid C19 double-pile addition. Ashlar and coursed squared rubble Coal Measures Sandstone, the south range with coped gables and moulded kneelers, ashlar ridge stack and a slated roof laid to diminishing courses. The north range with two pitched roofs, each with ashlar end stacks to north end, one now rendered, and with plain tile coverings.

South elevation of south range of three storeys and two bays, with stacked two-light flush-mullioned windows to first and second floors, each with casements having a single horizontal glazing bar. To the west end, a four-panelled door, having at tripartite rectangular overlight, all within a moulded stone surround. To the east of the doorway, a ground-floor four-paned sash window in a flush surround. East range of north elevation of two storeys and three bays, with stacked glazing bar sash windows set in flush surrounds Ground floor sashes are four x four panes, first floor sashes are four x three panes. Doorway to north end has 6-panelled door with rectangular overlight incorporating Gothick glazing bars, all within a flush ashlar surround. West elevation has a basement. Single-storey pitched-roofed extension to north range has two tall four x four pane sash windows to the west elevation.
