GV II
Hall House. Early C16 with C17 cross-wing to right, refaced in C18, dated stone 1747 on left hand return front. Timber framed, clad in sandstone rubble with brick dressings, frame exposed on ground floor of cross wing with brick infill, tile hung above, some in fishscale bands. Plain tiled roofs, hipped with gablet to right end on main range. Two storeys with multiple ridge stack to left of centre, plinth with moulded brick top across front. Plat band over ground floor, rising up to right over windows. Casement fenestration with three windows to first floor, the central smaller window in a deep chamfered surround. One window to ground floor right and angle bay window to ground floor left. One window on each floor of the cross-wing with a pentice hood over first floor case- ment. Pyramidal and square pendant finial to cross-wing gable apex. Half-glazed door to lobby entry on main range in elliptical arched surround with keystone and impost blocks. Further door to ground floor of cross-wing. Right hand return front:- three framed bays with diagonal bracing. Stack to left. Part of a good group of farm buildings.
