Pair cottages. Probably early C19. Ham stone cut and squared, ashlar dressings, and ashlar north elevation to No. 1;
Welsh slate roofs between stepped coped gables; stone and brick chimney stacks. Two-storeys with attics; ridges of
roofs at right angles to road giving 2 single-bay gables to Higher Street. Both cottages have a 16-pane sash window in
plain opening to right of ground floor, with doorways in deep plain recesses to left; to first floors and attic of No.
2, plain mullioned windows with slight chamfers, that to first floor of No. 2 is 3-light, the others 2-light; small
casement to attic of No. 1. The north elevation to No. 1 has band course between floors, and pairs of 2-light
small-pane casements at each level, in slightly segmental-arched openings, C20 extensions to south of No. 2.
