GV II

House, now divided. Late C16, restored and extended to right in C20. Timber framed on brick dressed sandstone plinth, whitewashed roughcast infill to frame above and plain tiled roofs, stepping down to right over brick and imitation framed extension to right. Two storeys with end stack to left, square corbelled multiple stack to left, large star shaped C19 stack to right at junction with extensions and further stacks to rear. First floor jettied with ogee bracing. Gabled bay to left with moulded bargeboards and fishscale tile hung gable. Angle bay oriel window on scroll bracket with decorative lozenge glazing. Square oriel window to ground floor over tile base with the upper lights leaded. Two under-eaves casements, both leaded, with moulded sills. Two gabled through-eaves dormers to first floor, larger one to right of centre with 10-lights and moulded transom. Moulded bargeboard above with crown pendant to apex. Small dormer to right on similar pattern, but with two 4-light windows. Ground floor windows with decorative lozenge glazing including one shallow angle bay window. Half-glazed panelled door to left (Throwsters) and panelled part-glazed door to right (The Old House).
