6/83 Bromiley Farmhouse 27.1.1967 (Formerly listed as Bromiley - II (house) under General)

Farmhouse, late C17, altered in C19, now house. Slobbered sandstone rubble with quoins, tiled roof with one ridge chimney stack. Three-bay baffle-entry plan. Two storeys; triangular-headed doorway at junction of 2nd and 3rd bays, and on each side of this a window of 2 tall triangular-headed lights; at 1st floor each bay has one window, the first 2 formerly 2-light mullions, the third 3 lights with chamfered mullions. Left return wall has remains of mullioned windows at ground floor, blocked 3 and 2-light windows at 1st floor, and similar blocked 3-light attic window. Right return wall has on each floor a tall window of triple triangular-headed lights and in the attic a hoodmould to a blocked window. Rear has similar blocked or formerly mullioned windows on both floors. Interior: inglenook with stone heck (bressummer concealed); in 1st bay one ovolo-moulded beam.
