II
House. Early C16, possibly C15, with mid C16 cross wing to south and C20 extensions to front left. Timber framed, clad in colourwashed brick frame exposed to centre, close-stud frame with sandstone rubble infilling on cross wing under tile-hung gable brick and sandstone block to rear. Plain tiled roofs with Horsham slab roof over cross wing to south. Two storeys with cross ridge stacks to left of centre, central cross ridge stack and crow- stepped double stack to south side of cross wing. Four framed bays with three 4-light leaded casements to first floor and two 10-light mullioned and transomed windows below. Central double doors of turned balusters set in glass under shallow hipped hood on scrolls. One 2-light window on each floor of cross wing with attic in gable. Glazed flat roofed extension to front left. Right hand return front:- two hipped dormers and two windows on first floor. One window on ground floor. Door to left under hipped porch on wooden support. Rear - frame exposed more completely with tension bracing on the first floor. Interior:- substantial amounts of framing exposed including some close studding.
