Seaman's Registry, designed as staff accommodation for the Royal Mint. 1805 James Johnson. Brick, some stone dressings. Roof not visible. Irregular block with 3 advanced bays to left, having 4-bay return into 6-bay range. 3 storeys, attic and basement. Channelled stone facing to ground floor; square headed windows, except centre window to advanced bay, formerly doorway, which is semi-circular in semi-circular reveal. Gauged heads above ground floor. Sashes, glazing bars. Cornice above second floor. Parapet. Included for group value with Royal Mint. PSA Historic Buildings Register Volume II, London History of the Kings Works V of VI (1782-1851) M M Colvin
