Details
ST4717 STOKE SUB HAMDON CP HIGH STREET (North side) 6/311 No. 45 (previously listed as No. 47) 19.4.61 GV II House in row, 1674. Ham stone ashlar; Welsh slate roof, a cross-roof to main run of street, with coped front gable; no chimney stack visible. Two storeys, single-bay. A 2-storey angled bay window of 1+3+1 ovolo-mould mullioned in wave-mould recesses, with strings to head of both windows; gable set on shaped corbel-stones, having obelisk finial, with date plaque formerly reading '1674', now illegible, set under its own stepped string mould. Entrance in west side. Interior not seen, (VCH vol III, 1974).
