REMPSTONE WYMESWOLD ROAD SK 52 SE (south side) 8/68 Top Farmhouse (Formerly listed as 13.10.66 Top Farm and Top Farm Cottage) G.V. II Farmhouse and cottage, now single house. Early C17 with some later C17 extensions. Red brick, some blue brick chequering and render. Right 3 bays with plain tile roof and red brick stack to former left gable. Single left bay of later build with lower pantile roof. Brick coped gables with kneelers. Rendered plinth. Large rendered buttress. Dentilled brick bands over ground and first floor openings where they form semi-circular arches. 2 storeys plus garret, 4 bays. 4 C20 glazing bar casements with 4 similar smaller casements above. To the left is a single storey, 2 bay wing with pantile roof and remains of similar band to eaves. Single C20 glazing bar casement with single similar larger casement to the left. 4 tie plates. Earliest build with wall plate. West elevation with plain tile roof, single ridge red brick stack, brick coped right gable with kneeler and similar bands. 3 bays. Single central small glazing bar casement flanked by single larger C20 glazing bar casements. 2 similar smaller casements above with single central smaller glazing bar casement. In the garret is a single similar casement with dentilled arched hoodmould. 4 small round tie plates. Attached to the right is a single storey blank red brick wing with a plain tile roof with brick coped right gable with kneeler and similar band.
