Farmhouse, dated 1656 on porch, now house. Sandstone rubble with
quoins, stone slate roof now with one modern chimney at right gable.
Three-bay baffle-entry plan, with former barn continued to left (now
altered). Two storeys; original front on north side has a porch
at the junction of the 1st and 2nd bays, the roof carried down over it,
a moulded Tudor-arched doorway in the right side wall with a projecting
moulded datestone over it lettered HKE, a small window in the front
IGH:
1656
wall. Both front and rear have double-chamfered stone mullion
windows with hoodmoulds: left of the porch a 3-light window on each
floor, right of it 2 windows on each floor, of 4 and 2 lights at ground
floor, 3 and 3 lights above; at the rear (present front) 3 at ground
floor all of 3 lights, 4 at 1st floor, all of 3 lights except the 3rd
which was 2 lights but lacks the mullion. Interior not inspected.
