HARNHAM ROAD 1. 1594 (North Side) EAST HARNHAM The Rose and Crown Inn SU 1428 11/348 28.2.52. II* GV 2. C16 modernised. 2 storeys, long front following curve of road. Part brick and part plaster on ground floor. Timber framed upper part with plaster infilling. The right hand section oversailing at 1st floor level. Gable end old tile roof. Formerly large yard entry to right of centre, now converted to modern entrance with glazed doors. Irregular modern leaded casements including small canted bay window on ground floor. Tile hung gabled wing to rear with 2 tile hung hipped gable dormers. In north range 1st floor bedroom on south side good crown post roof, trusses sealed at collar level. Modern extensions on west side link former barn with main building, red brick with hipped gable end old tile roof.
Nos 2 to 14 (even) and the Rose and Crown Inn form a group.
