Details
ST4717 STOKE SUB HAMDON CP NORTH STREET (West side) 6/332 North Street Workshop - GV II Workshops converted from barn to North Street Farmhouse (q.v), possibly a former house. Cl8 origins. Ham stone cut and squared to facade, with ashlar dressings, coursed rubble to sides and rear; hipped Welsh slate roof to shallow pitch. Two storeys, 3 bays. To outer bays, 3-light hollow-chamfered mullioned windows in wave-mould recesses, that to lower bay 3 blocked; centre bay projects slightly, and has wide opening for former barn doors, now only the lower halves in use. Rooflights on east side; in north side a first-floor doorway approached by iron staircase; blocked doorway to south wail. Similar large doors and one muilioned window to rear. Interior not seen.
