Mid C19, probably refronting of earlier building, three storeys attic and basement stuccoed. Moulded cornice and frieze. Rusticated quoins. Attic as extra storey above entablature. Rusticated ground floor. two window front with architrave framed sashes, eared on first floor with cornice, above entrance to left and four storey canted bay to right, main entablature and ground floor cornice carried over. Panelled door, semi-circular fanlight, imposts to architrave arch with scrolled keystone. Flanking panelled strips, elaborate console brackets to pediment over. The upper floors of this house form part of the Castle Hotel (Nos 35 and 36).

Listed for group value. Heavy cast iron area railings.

All the listed buildings on the East Side form a group.
