Details
OXFORD STREET 1. 5407 (South Side) Masonic Hall SU 1869 1/278 II GV 2. Early/mid C19. Red brick. Pitched slate roof. 1 storey to Oxford Street, capped by moulded stone cornice and brick pediment, with inset ashlar panel inscribed "Masonic Hall". Modern door under flat hood on cut brackets. Circular panel framed by grey headers with trompe l'oeuil glazing bars painted on. 2 bricked up windows either side, round-headed, with ashlar sills, keystones and impost blocks. New Road elevation has 2 storeys, canted front, and wwide projecting eaves. Central bay has 12-panelled double doors on ground floor, and on 1st floor. 1 ashlar panel inscribed "Masonic Hall',' in moulded frame on carved brackets. Flanking bays have 1 segment-headed sash with glazing bras each on ground floor, and rendered panels above, round-headed with ashlar sills, keystones and impost blocks. No 13 forms a group with Nos 1 to 4 (consec), The Parade
