Folly tower. A plaque reads Built by/J Stansfield/1890/Restored/1950/Ps 127 v 1. Approximately 30ft high. Built as a folly. Circular. Coursed rubble. Widely spaced battlements. Two steps up to plain doorway. Spiral stone staircase inside leading to observation platform. Prominent hilltop landmark. (Ps 127 v 1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.)
