Farmhouse converted to 2 cottages, now one house. C16 with C17 improvements, C18 and C20 alterations. Plastered cob on rubble footings; rubble or cob stacks topped with C19 brick; wheat reed thatched roof. Originally a 3-room-and-through-passage house facing south with former inner room at left (west) end. Interior rearranged in C18 when divided into 2 cottages. Projecting end stacks and lateral hall stack projecting to front. Continuous outshots across back wall (onto road). 2 storeys. 4-window front of late C19 and C20 casements, 2 each side of roughly central stack. 2 small first floor windows to right have thatch eyebrows over and to left rise into eaves. C20 door to former passage right of centre and secondary cottage door at left end. Left room (former inner room) has late C16-early C17 axial beam; chamfered with step stops. Hall fireplace has possibly reset C16 oak lintel. Roof over hall apparently C18 trusses.
