II
House, once divided, now again united. Early-mid C17 house, divided into cottages in C19, reunited and altered circa 1920. Plastered cob and rubble, circa 1920 brick end walls; brick and rubble stacks; thatched roof. 2-room house facing south with central through passage and rear outshots. Right end stack and left rear lateral stack. 2 storeys. Irregular 3-window front of C19 and C20 casements with glazing bars. Some small panes in first floor windows. Left ground floor window blocking C19 cottage door. Central C19 plank door with hipped thatch hood. Gable-ended roof. Left end wall of circa 1920 brick with 2 casements each floor. Inside both rooms have chamfered oak crossbeams with scroll stops and right side of passage has oak plank-and-muntin screen, the muntins chamfered with scroll stops on both sides. Original roof of A-frame trussed with pegged lap-jointed collars.
