Details
SEEND HIGH STREET ST 9461 (north side) 12/289 Elcot 19.3.62 GV II House, c1820, ashlar fronted red brick with low-pitched slate roof, coped gables and end stacks. Three-storey front, 2-storey rear. Front has 3-window range of sashes, 9-pane to top floor, 16-pane elsewhere and 6-panel door in Roman Doric ashlar porch. Centre bay and angle piers project. Raised plinth, band and string course. Rear has flush chamfered C19 stone mullion windows and centre door with hood on brackets. An outbuilding, to right, not included in listing has date plaque HGW 1821 with masonic symbol, for Henry Williamson, owner 1819-39. (E. Bradby, Seend A Wiltshire Village, 1981, 202-3)
