Country house and adjoining stables, now flats and dwellings. Late C18 and mid and late C19. Brick, partly stuccoed. Hipped and gabled slate and concrete tile roofs. Stone plinth. Deep eaves. 8 single ridge stacks. 2 and 3 storeys. 5 bays wide by 8 unequal bays deep. Windows are mostly glazing bar sashes, and casements with segmental heads. Front has at each end, coped flanking wall with ball finial. Central C20 glazed door with patterned lintel. Flanked by 3 sashes. Beyond, to left, door with wooden lintel. Above, 5 sashes. Above again, 5 smaller sashes. North east side has to left, canted hipped outbuilding. To its right, French window. To right again, service building with casement and door with overlight. Fenestration to right, C20. Above, to left, 3 sashes. Above again, 2 smaller sashes. South west side has to left, double depth rear wing, mid C19, with openings with segmental heads. To left, French window with over light. To right, 2 Yorkshire sashes. Above, to right, a sash. Above again, 2 sashes, that to right double. To right again, loggia, mid C19, with 4 Doric piers carrying wooden lintel and brick parapet with ball finials. Inside, 4 plaster panels with figures. To left, door with late C18 fanlight. Rear elevation has to left, projecting dressing room on brick pier. To right, housekeeper's room with sash and door. Above, central sash. Above again, 2 sashes. Above again, 3 sashes. The Stables and adjoining outbuildings, single storey, have to south west, to left, a sash. To its right, 2 sashes flanked by single doors. To right again, 2 small sashes. To their right doorway with wooden lintel, and beyond, 3 sashes flanked by single doors. Beyond again, a casement and a door. Most openings have segmental heads. The Ostlers has to left, single storey projecting hipped bay with casement. To its right, door and casement. To right again, 2 storey carriage house has 2 large carriage openings with double doors and elliptical heads. To right, C20 door and casement. Above, central clock opening flanked by single casements. Remaining fenestration late C20 in matching style. Interior has moulded stone cantilevered dogleg stair with landing. Arched iron balusters and ramped scrolled handrail. Principal rooms have elaborate modillioned cornices. Drawing room has alcove containing overmantel mirror flanked by single round headed niches. Large early C19 register grate in Gothick style, with moulded marble surround and relief panel.
