Details

HALIFAX LANE HEAD LANE SE 02 NE 679/4/10016 Lane Head Farm II Farmhouse, c1700 with mid C18 additions and C20 alterations. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and stone slate roofs with a single raised coped gable with kneelers. 2 stone gabled stack. 2 storey flush ashlar quoins. South entrance front has 2 storey projecting porch with shallow gable, coped with kneelers. Flush ashlar door surround and C20 door. Above a small venetian window with flush ashlar surround and raised keystone, centre light has remains of Gothick glazing bars. Eitherside a single 4 light mullion window on both floors. North, rear front, has an off-centre doorway with flush ashlar surround and flat hood porch supported on square ashlar pillars. To the left a 4 light chamfered mullion window. To the right a continuous window with block 3 light chamfered mullions the 2 light similar mullions, and beyond a 4 light deeply chamfered mullion window. Above 2, 6 light chamfered mullion windows, those to left deeply chamfered. To east a late C20 addition.
