Details
The following building shall be added:-
BRADFIELD Kimberhead Farmhouse SU57SE 1107-0/6/10007 II
House, now a farmhouse. Circa 1865, extended in late C19 or early C20. Flint with stucco dressings and timber-framed; brick rear wing. Scallopped Welsh slate roof with deep eaves and deep verges to gable ends; gables have wavey bargeboards, brackets and long pendants. Brick lateral stacks at rear and axial stack in rear wing. PLAN: Single-depth range with entrance porch to left of centre and later C19 or early C20 wing at the centre at rear with later outshut in the north west angle. Picturesque Gothic style. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. First floor timber-flamed with plastered infill and jettied on all sides. Asymmetrical 3-window south front with gabled 2-storey porch to left of centre on thin posts and with 4-centred arch doorway with ledged door and lancet above. Cross-mullion-transom windows with leaded panes and chamfered wooden frames with heavy cills on modillions. On either gable end similar canted bay window on ground floor and lancet on first floor, the right [east] gable end advanced at the centre, the corners rebated and with long pendants and curved brackets similar to the other gables; the east end lancet has moulded oriel cill. Plain brick rear wing with casements with glazing bars and later outshut in the north west angle. INTERIOR not inspected.
