II

Small villa. Dated 1852 on porch; altered. Coursed squared sandstone (now ribbon pointed), hipped slate roof. Rectangular double-depth double-fronted plan plus a small outbuilding attached to the rear. 2 storeys and cellar, 3 windows, symmetrical; with a plinth, rusticated quoins, plain frieze and moulded cornice. The central doorway is protected by a shallow rectangular porch which has corner pilasters with moulded imposts and elongated entablatures, a moulded cornice, a segmental parapet inscribed "AD 1852", and a cast-iron balustrade; C20 panelled double outer doors and a panelled inner door with an overlight. The windows have raised sills and plain surrounds, and altered glazing. Side-wall chimneys with dentilled cornices. Small single-storey outhouse linked to rear. INTERIOR: doglegged staircase; cellar.
