Cottage. Probably earlier C18 (dated 1739 in C20 stained glass window); altered and recently renovated. Coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, stone slate roof. Double-depth double-fronted plan. 2 low storeys, 2 windows, symmetrical; central doorway with plain surround and C20 glazed and panelled door; vertical-rectangular windows at ground floor, square windows above, all with raised sills and plain surrounds, and all now C20 top-hung casements imitating 4-pane sashes. Ridge chimney and gable chimney to left, both corniced. Both gable walls have windows close to the rear at ground floor, that in the right-hand gable with C20 stained glass lettered "1739". INTERIOR not inspected. Rear wall covered by rear of Back Oak Cottage (qv), with which this item forms a group.
