Royston House (No.81)

A pair of houses. 1834. By William Steggles. White brick
front, flint and red brick rear; slate roof, formerly with a
modillion eaves soffit, now covered.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellars. 3 window range: all sashes in
plain reveals. A single vertical glazing bar to lights at
No.81 and without glazing bars at No.82, where the reveals are
painted. The front breaks forward slightly between the
windows. No.81 has a recessed 6-panel door in a doorcase with
columns and a segmental fanlight with ornamental glazing.
No.82 has a 6-panel door in a semicircular arched brick
surround with painted reveals and a fanlight.
