Probably mid-C17. Once a manor house, now divided internally into 4 tenements. Thick Walls of stone rubble, stone flag roof with 5 large round chimneys. 2 storeys. Windows with chamfered oak millions and massive oak lintels. Interior has some panelled partitions and old oak doors with original snecks, and a chest dated 1674. 2 gabled wings at rear. A later wing at right angles to east is built of slate rubble with another round chimney. A low stone rubble barn at right angles to west has arrow slits and a slate dripstone.
St Anne's Court, Ash Tree Cottage, Old School House, Nos 1 to 5 (consec) and Barn attached to Old School House form a group with The Cottage, Fairview Cottage, Nos 3 to 6 (consec) Reasbeck, Little Beck and Ashton Cottage, Fair View Road.
