Icehouse at Broadbottom Hall

Ice House. Late C18 or early C19. Earth covered structure, with entrance on north side, comprised of short flight of stone steps with low flanking walls. Boarded entrance door set beneath stone semicircular arch. The door leads on to a further flight of steps, set within cross barrel vault of coursed sandstone rising from low side walls The ice house is sited close to Broadbottom Hall (Item7/45) with which it forms a group.
