GV II

Three town houses in terraced row lining west side of street,
now integrated as offices. c1850, altered. Watershot coursed
squared sandstone, slate roof. Double-depth plan, each house
single-fronted.
3 storeys over cellars, now 2+1+2 windows at 1st floor (but
probably formerly 1+1+2); with a continuous moulded gutter
cornice. No.5 has the doorway to the right, Nos 7 & 9 have
doorways to the left, all with plain jambs and lintels, and
shallow moulded cornices; each has a cellar window now closed
with a metal plate, all have one window at ground floor and
2nd floor, but No.5 has 2 windows at 1st floor, No.7 has one
and No.9 now has 2 (one inserted), all these windows with
plain surrounds and altered glazing.
INTERIORS not inspected but understood to be remodelled.
Forms group with Nos 1 & 3 adjoining to the right (qv) and Nos
11 and 13A adjoining to the left (qv), the whole being a good
example of "late Georgian" town housing.
