Details

The following building shall be added:-

HEDON TA 1828 NE 936-/1/10001 MAGDALEN GATE (north side) No. 7 Magdalen House II House. c1820, altered c1870. Red brick with ashlar dressings, and a pantile roof 3 brick gable stacks, with ashlar coped gables and kneelers. 2 storey, 3 window front. Central doorway with 6-panel door and overlight with margin lights. Porch has slender Doric columns supporting an elaborate cornice with coupled brackets. Eitherside are single tripartite square bay windows with plain sashes and Doric pilasters, topped with an elaborate cornice with paired brackets. Above a single plain sash, flanked by single wider sashes. Interior: has rounded wooden staircase with 2 slender turned balusters per tread and a moulded mahogany handrail. Hallway has deeply moulded plaster cornice, moulded doorcases with 6-panel doors and a segmental arch with panel pilasters.
