Row of four shops with accommodation above. 1888. By Arthur Wakerley. Red brick with terracotta and ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roofs and brick chimney stacks.

EXTERIOR: No.122 has three window facade, three storey, with chamfered central section. Ground floor has off-centre recessed doorway with C20 door and overlight flanked by original plate glass shop windows with glazing bar upper lights, that to right projects forward. Above original fascia board hidden by late C20 fascia boards. Central three-light transom and mullion window with ornate carved hood, either side single sashes with glazing bar upper lights. Above again central round headed window, which rises into ornate curved gable topped with small pediment, this unusual window curves to a point at its base with an elaborate brick surround. Either side single plain sashes.

No.124 has single window facade, three storey plus attic. Ground floor has altered shop front with doors either side. Above round arch rises through two floors with recessed canted bay window at first floor and three-light cross casement window at second floor with balcony with iron balustrade. Attic has single two-light mullion window with lattice casements. Gable surmounted by curved pediment with ball finials to sides.

No.126 has single window facade, three storey. Ground floor has original wooden shop front with recessed doorway to right with C20 door. Above balcony with square balusters and two recessed plain sashes. Single square column supports projecting canted bay window above with tile hanging and central three-light casement with flanking plaster panels and wooden cornice above. Hipped roof topped lead finial.

No.128 has single window facade to London Road, single window canted corner and four window facade to Highfield Street. Ground floor has original shop fronts with original glazing and fascia boards divided by pilasters. Canted corner has original glazed door flanked by decorated pilasters.

Highfield Street has four shop windows, three with original doors, divided by fluted pilasters with double access doors to right. Above canted corner has round headed window in ashlar surround with carved hood above single sash in ashlar surround with pilasters above again gable with central pilaster. Either side tripartite windows with round headed centres in carved ashlar surrounds, above single tripartite windows in ashlar surrounds and above single niches topped with small pediments, that to right dated 1888. Upper floors to right have pairs of sash windows in ashlar surrounds topped with gable to right surmounted by curved pediment.

INTERIOR has original plaster ceiling.
