Chapel, then college annexe, now studio. c1885, (foundation
stones read 8th October 1884). Red brick in English bond.
Stone dressings. Welsh slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 1 wide bay. On left and right returns of
1-storey projecting bay are 4 stone steps with flanking stone
coped brick wall and end piers leading to diagonal boarded
door set under stone lintel. To front tripartite stone
mullioned window with paired lights, stone sills and head with
brick pointed arch over and pointed dripstone tympanum has
carved stone foliage relief. Bay has stone corner pinnacles
and stone crenellated parapet. At first floor 3-light C20
casements set in stone surround with 2 brick mullions, stone
cusped heads all recessed within 3 centred brick arch with
panelled carved stone tympanum, trefoil head and keystones.
Stone bellcote to apex of sloping stone parapet. Flanking bays
(formerly aisles) have each 2-light casement set under pointed
brick arch with stone springer, sill and dripstone. Sloping
stone parapet. Low buttress to outer quoins.
INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Attached stone coped brick boundary wall
and entrance piers.
