C17. Stone and slate rubble, flag roof with stepped flags on gable ends,
and 2 square squat chimneys. 2 low storeys. The rear facing Thorn House
has one small window on each floor to left, a catslide roof in centre over
a scullery, and a lower catslide roof to right open below and forming a
porch. Stone steps under the roof lead to an old studded door, but spinning
gallery removed. Front facing the beck has 2 doors, 4 windows on ground
floor and 3 above, (all modern casements). Interior said to contain spice
cupboard dated 1707.
