Former Currier's Workshop
To rear of No.42
GV II
Outbuilding, formerly currier's workshop. Mid/late C18. Timber-framed with red brick infill and ground floor, and some stone to rear. Plain-tile roof with brick stack on front roof slope. 2 storeys and attic; 2 bays of square-panel framing of light scantling. Various openings including 2 windows to 1st floor with doorway and window opening below. Left gable end has windows in 1st floor and attic and right end has various openings with window in attic. INTERIOR. Evidence of the trade remains including a bench, pegs and hanging racks. Some plank doors. Original roof with single tier of purlins. The Aingel and Morgan families were curriers in these premises in the C18 and the workshop is mentioned in sale details of1806. (Information from the owner)
