Pair of terraced houses. c1830-40. Ashlar over brick (painted at left) with slate roof and pinkish-brown brick stacks to party-wall and right end. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basements, 4 first-floor windows. Narrow left entrance bays set back. Ground floor has horizontal rustication; first-floor band and first-floor moulded sill band. Crowning frieze, cornice and blocking course. Entrances: 6-panel doors with overlight. Ground floor has tripartite windows, 6/6 between 2/2 sashes with recessed aprons. First floor has alternate 6/6 and 8/8 sashes. Basement has 3/3 sash at right (where original). INTERIOR: not inspected. Forms a good group with Bethesda Methodist Church (qv). Part of a fine street of mostly 1830s and 1840s terrace houses. (Merrett HS: Plan of the Town of Cheltenham: 1834-).
