Terrace of 9 houses, truncated to 7 in late C20. 1850s. Gault
brick, partly stuccoed and colourwashed. Slate roof. 2
storeys; 15-window range in all. 3-bay pedimented centre
breaks forward emphasising more prestigious No.274. Remainder
of houses of 2 bays each: a round-arched doorway with a door
under a plain fanlight, a window to the side under a gauged
skewback arch and 2 windows to the first floor. Continuous
parapet. No.274 of 3 bays comprising a central door under a
pediment flanked by a window right and left and 3 to the first
floor. Doors and top-hung casements mainly late C20 except for
No.271 which has a C19 door with 2 glazed upper panels. Nos
273 & 277 have 2/2 horned sashes intact. Gabled roof. One
gault-brick ridge stack to each house except No.274 (removed).
North and south gables truncated and rebuilt late C20.
INTERIOR not inspected.
