II
House. 1904 with minor late C20 alterations. Local grit stone, half-timbering, tile hanging and plain tile roofs with tall stacks. Deeply chamfered plinth. 2 storey. Garden facade has 4 windows with cross wings at either end. Central section has 3-light cross casement window to right and to left a similar 4-light window then a buttress and a tiny window. Jettied upper floor has two 4-light timber casements. Projecting gabled cross wings, that to left has square 5-light stone bay window with above projecting 5-light oriel window with arched framing in the gable. Right cross wing has 7-light cross mullion window and above 4-light oriel window with straight braced framing in the gable. Set back wing to right has tile hanging on first floor. Ground floor has single doorway to left and 2-light casement above. Entrance front has single cross wing to left. Off-centre doorway in segmental arched ashlar door surround with 2-light mullion window to right and 4-light cross casement to left, and above two 4-light and a single 2-light casements. Cross wing to left has 6-light square bay window with above a 5-light casement. Irregular rear facade has tile hanging on the upper floor and irregular fenestration including tall staircase window. Single storey attached garage. Interior retains panelling, fireplace, screens and stained glass to entrance hall and main staircase. The stair has turned balusters and square newels with an inglenook fireplace with wood and beaten copper fire surround. Drawing room has deep segmental arched inglenook fireplace with plaster panels and swagged decoration, ceiling has fruit and foliage plaster decoration.
