GV II
House, now shop and flats. c1500, altered mid C19, restored late C20. Squared, dressed limestone, brick gable and rear lateral stacks and a pantile roof. Single-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Double-fronted with pilaster strips, plat band and a frieze; C20 door, restored early C19 shop windows each side with panelled jambs, fascia and cornice, each with 3 plate-glass panes, 6/6-pane first-floor sashes, and a central gabled casement dormer. INTERIOR: details include a 4-bay roof with threaded ridge, wind braces between 2 sets of chamfered, stopped purlins, and joists laid flush with the tops or the ties. Ground floor has moulded C16 axial and lateral beams with removed corner bosses. (Wiltshire Buildings Record: Trowbridge: 1990-).
