Cutlery works, now disused. 1823. Ashlar with hipped slate roof and two large ridge stacks. Classical Revival style. Plinth, first floor band and sillband, moulded eaves and
pediment, coped parapet. Three storeys; nine window range. Projecting centre, five windows, with pediment containing tablet inscribed "Sheaf Works". Windows are twelve pane sashes, the pair to right replaced by plain sashes, with moulded surrounds and cornices. Above, nine six pane sashes, two of them replaced by two-light casements. Ground floor has twelve pane sashes with eared architraves and cornices. Right return, three windows, has a projecting centre. Single twelve pane sash flanked by single tripartite sashes with scrolled pediments. Above, three six pane sashes with cornices. Below, doorcase with double columns, cornice and fanlight, flanked by single tripartite sashes with scrolled pediments. Rear has regular fenestration, with a clock in the pediment and three elliptical arched basement openings with keystones, now blocked.
INTERIOR: not inspected.

This building is said to be the first designed for the factoryproduction of cutlery.
