2 DESCRIPTION
A C17, two storey and attic, L plan box timber framed house, cased in brick in the C18 and the front elevation stuccoed with shop front inserted c1860-70. The framing survives in the roof structure with the short rear wing, in the south gable end and in some of the interior walls including stud partitioning. Gable end slate roofs. The rear wing has brick plate band, blocked casement and early C19 sash windows. The wood C19 front elevation has a double plate glass shop front with sidelights splayed in to doorway. Pilaster frame with carved console brackets flanking boxed fascia and supporting moulded cornice. 2 architrave surround sash windows on 1st floor screened by tent shaped canopy withimtted valance supported by a thin iron upright wing from shop cornice. Left hand 1st floor window is a rectangular 2 light wood bay with fretted eaves band and pedi- ment. Original lamps on scrolled brackets at ends of shop cornice.
