House, now building society premises and shop. Early C19. Coursed dressed sandstone; concrete tile roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3-window range. Pilasters at each end are linked by first-floor sill band and eaves band. Late C20 shop front with double doors to right of centre and recessed side doorway on right. First floor: 2/2 sashes in ashlar surrounds. Second floor: projecting stone sills to short 2/2 sashes in ashlar surrounds. Plain ashlar parapet with end dies above the pilasters. INTERIOR: not inspected. Forms part of a prominent street frontage in the town centre.
