Heat treatment workshop, now stock grinding plant. 1913. For the Kayser Ellison firm. Steel framed structure with glass and brick infill panels, concrete dressings and sheet metal roof with 2 large gabled ventilators. Open to roof, with 2 storey elevation. 12 x 6 bays. Brick walls on each floor below continuous multi-pane glazing, with concrete sills and lintels. Ground floor has large doorways in the sixth and eleventh bays. Ground floor bays 1 to 7 have the glazing replaced by corrugated iron cladding. Brick gable peaks have 2 round openings. Lower flat-roofed single storey projection in each gable end. INTERIOR not inspected. Part of the sole surviving large crucible steel works in Sheffield, and an early example of steel framed industrial building.
