House row. Of two dates, cl820-30 to left and very shortly after to the right. Chequer red and buff brick to left, red brick to right. Boarded eaves to slate roofs of shallow pitch with brick stacks on ridge at the right end, and to left of right-hand house, and to right of centre and at right end of left-hand house pair. 2 storeys; slightly irregular fenestration of 5-4 windows on first floor and 4-2 windows on ground floor. All windows glazing bar sashes, those on ground floor of left-hand house, the left-hand four, with decorated lintels, and cornice hoods on volute brackets and all windows of house to right with plastered lintels with cornice hoods. Second window from left on ground floor of left hand block narrower than others and fourth window from left tripartite. Doorway with panelled door, transom tight and entablature hood on pilasters to right of third window from left on left-hand block; panelled door in round arched surround with wide transom-light and moulded plastered surround to left of right-hand window on right-hand block. Blind carriage-arch, possibly never open, to left on left-hand clock with painted segmental arch and impost blocks, surrounding round- arched entrance with boarded door, the entrance to the yard behind. The list was previously amended in respect of this entry on 8 August 1986.
