House, radio station (at time of survey) now a schhool. Dated 1871, with late C20 alterations. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and steep pitched slate roofs with three gable and single valley stacks, mostly with multiple coped flues. Gothic Revival style.

EXTERIOR: plinth, string courses, coped gables. Two storeys plus attics; five window range. Double gabled entrance front has a recessed central single light window with a traceried balustrade above it, and a balustraded balcony below. Left gable has a corbelled external stack. Right gable has a three-light stone mullioned casement and above it, a single light window. Central moulded segmental pointed doorway with double door and overlight. To right, a four-light mullioned window. To right again, set back gabled rear wing fronted by a canted single storey projection with parapet and hipped roof.

South-west front has a central three-light mullioned window and above it, a single light window. On either side, a gable with a two storey canted bay window with traceried balustrade and three lights on each floor. To right, a taller canted bay window with traceried balustrade and three two-light mullioned windows on each floor. To left, a projecting square crenellated tower, three stages, with corbel table and gargoyles. Canted oriel window with traceried balustrade and above it, a lancet opening with a datestone in the tympanum and a two-light mullioned window. Below, two two-light mullioned windows.

INTERIOR has a dogleg cantilever wooden stair with ornate cast-iron balustrade and ramped scrolled handrail. Ground floor rooms have moulded cornices. Right hand room has strapwork ceiling.
