II

Farmhouse, now 2 houses. Mid C18 with early C19 additions and late C20 alterations. Squared dressed stone, partly rendered, with ashlar dressings and stone slate and Welsh slate roofs with 2 brick gable stacks. Plinth, chamfered quoins, coped gables with kneelers. 2 storeys plus cellar and garrets; 2 window range. Two 12 pane sashes, 1989, with plain stone surrounds with keystones. Below, central C20 door flanked by single 12 pane sashes. To right, single storey wash house with single ridge stack and 2 doors. Rendered left gable has a small plain sash to left and above, a central C20 casement. Below, a 12 pane sash with keystone. Rear wing, 2 storeys, 2 windows, has a 12 pane sash with plain surround and to right, a C20 casement. Below, a C20 wooden cross casement, 3 lights, and to right a beaded stone doorcase with triple keystone and fielded 6-panel door with overlight. INTERIOR has single purlin roof of reused timber and dogleg staircase with winders to the second floor. Cut string, ramped and scrolled handrail, vase and stem balusters. Stone lined cellar has elliptical brick vault and 3-light chamfered mullioned window. 2 stone lined cupboards and stone salting table in situ. 6-panel cellar door has balustered vent above it. 6 beaded 6-panel doors.
