House, now restaurant with accommodation above. Late C17 early C18 with later alterations. Rendered brick, roof obscured behind parapet. Four storeys raised from three in C19. Two bays. Ground floor late C20 entrance front and fascia. First floor pair of casements beneath overlights. Second floor pair of small paned sashes. Third floor pair of casements beneath overlights. All with rendered Cills. Tall proportions of first and second floor windows may reflect early window form. Rendered party wall stack to left. Interior: Above ground floor retains original plan form. Rear room retaining dormer cupboard with lower pair of doors, upper door with segmental head, shaped shelves, plain panelling behind. Plain panelling, partly mutilated, to second floor landing. Staircase with moulded closed string, some original turned balusters, moulded rails, columnar newels with square bases and knobs, the finials missing. Further decorative detail probably survives, obscured.

Rare survival of early house representing the earliest phase of Soho's development (q.v.) Nos 2, 5, 6 Old Compton Street and 101 Charing Cross Road.
