Small house. Probably 1840s. Flemish bond brick; slate roof; brick stacks with clay chimney pots.
Plan: the house faces south west and is slightly set back from the Tonbridge Road. L-plan, the principal block two rooms wide with a central entrance and a rear left wing containing an additional heated room. A lean-to along the left return has a door into it from the front. Rear elevation not inspected at time of survey (1988).
Exterior: two storeys. Hipped roof with deep eaves; end stacks with flared chimney pots with moulded cornices and bases. Symmetrical three bay front elevation plus one bay to the lean-to at the left end. Central front door with a segmental arched fanlight with spoke glazing bars and a gabled porch hood on shaped brackets. Original moulded doorcase with diamond-shaped panels below the hood brackets, C20 front door. C19 panelled door into the lean-to at the left end. Three first and two ground floor windows, the outer bay windows with segmental brick arches, ground floor window left reglazed with a C20 aluminium window, the other twelve-pane sashes.
Interior: not inspected but may retain original joinery.
This house forms a pair with No 180, adjoining at right angles at the rear right.
