7/25 Stable block at Bunny Hall 14.5.52 G.V. II
Stable block part converted to cottage, store and kennels. Early C18 with C20 alterations. Designed by and built for Sir Thomas Parkyns. Red brick, some blue brick and half timbering. Plain tile roof. 2 red brick ridge and left gable stacks. Brick coped gables with kneelers. Single storey plus attic, 19 bays. The third, fourth and fifth bays from the right are gabled over and are half timbered. Having from left to right a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash, a doorway with plank door, 5 small semi- circular fixed lights with brick keyblocks, a single glazing bar casement, a single C20 casement, a doorway set into half timbered gabled surround with C20 glazed door and marginal lights, a single C20 casement, 4 similar semi-circular lights with keyblocks, a single similar semi-circular opening set into a now blocked larger archway, in front is a single flight of wooden steps, 2 similar semi-circular lights and keyblocks, a single glazing bar casement. Above in the gabled bays is a doorway with part glazed door. To the left is a single flat topped dormer with single tripartite glazing bar casement. projecting from the right bays are iron railings forming kennels. The left gable wall has some blue brick diaper. Attached to the left is a range of barns listed as a separate item. Sir Thomas Parkyns Bart. (c.1662-1741) carried out improvements to and rebuilt almost all of Bunny to his own designs.
