GV II

Pair of almshouses and linking wall. Built in 1859 by Elizabeth Bradford-Wyatt (benefactor). Regular coursed ironstone rubble. Limestone dressings to door and window openings. Stone ridge stacks. C20 tile roofs. L-plan. Single storey plus attic. Moulded limestone heads to doorways, chamfered jambs and plank doors. Pairs and triplets of lancets with trefoiled heads. Gabled porches and dormers. Inscription on right almshouse: 'These almshouses were erected by Elizabeth Bradford-Wyatt in memory of her sister Mary Ann Scott-Wyatt. 1859'. The almshouses were conveyed in trust for the housing of poor and aged agricultural workers. Interiors not inspected.
