- II
Farmhouse, now house. C17, with later porch dated IM 1694; restored and rear extension built 1931-3, probably by Thomas Falconer for a Mr Kitto. Roughcast limestone rubble with smooth-rendered and ashlar quoins and dressings; exposed rubble to west gable; gabled stone slate roof restored ashlar stacks. 3-unit plan, with heated right-hand parlour and axial stack heating central room and left-hand (west) room. 2 storeys with attic; 2-window front with chamfered stone-mullioned windows of up to 4 lights, with label moulds to ground floor. Three hipped dormers of 1931-3, with stone slate cheeks and 2-light leaded casements. Chamfered doorway to porch; oculus to left-side wall of porch. Right (east) gable end has inserted C20 French window with concrete lintel. Similar C17 mullioned windows to sides and rear, with small C20 rear extension in similar materials. Interior not inspected but noted as having retained many C17 features including chamfered beams (with stops characteristic of mid C17 date), open fireplaces with chamfered bressummers, timber-framed first-floor partition and 4-bay roof with pegged notch-lapped collars.
