Farmhouse. C17. Noted as having datestone 1694. Another datestone HJG/1876. Regular coursed ironstone rubble, steeply pitched plain tile roof, stone lateral and end stacks, brick end stack. T-plan. 2 storeys, 2-window range. Elevation to road: Small blocked rectangular window to left, 3-light stone mullioned window with hood mould and label stops. Attic has a tall renewed 4-light stone mullioned window to left and a 2-light stone mullioned window to right. Both have hood moulds and label stops. Left end bears datestone 1876, probably referring to rebuilding at this time. C19 doorway. Interior: Stone flag flDors, large stone 4-centred arched fireplace in kitchen. Stone steps to cellar. Wooden winder staircase. (V.C.H.: 0xforshire, Vol.IX, p.13).
